What should I expect at my first appointment?
At your first (and every) dental appointment with Dr. Felton, you can expect an experienced, dedicated dental team to provide you with the complete oral care that you need. Your initial visit will proceed as follows:
- Paperwork and Insurance processing
- Personal interview with the doctor or patient coordinator to discuss any specific concerns or questions
- Comprehensive Oral Evaluation to assess the best plan for your individual needs
- Full series of digital photos to evaluate your dental health
- Complete exam and decay diagnosis, which may include non-invasive laser DIAGNOdent
- Oral cancer screening
- Digital x-rays (90% less radiation compared to conventional x-rays)
- Perio/Gum tissue analysis to determine the type of cleaning therapy needed
We ask that patients arrive (at least) 15 minutes prior to appointment time, and designate about an hour for your appointment. We will enter your information and health history into our updated computer system. To help the process move more quickly, please make sure to bring your information with you, including current medical prescriptions, medical history, dental insurance, etc.
In order to save our patients time, and to promote accuracy, we have provided the following forms to be printed before your visit. If you would like to save time during your first visit, please print the forms, complete them and bring them with you to your appointment.
